Background
Until now, training has followed an old-school apprenticeship model — personal, tailored, and a bit of a one-on-one dance. But we’re turning the page. In 2025, we’re shifting into a group-based training format that still keeps that apprenticeship flavour, just with more structure and more company on the dancefloor.
You’ll still get your hands dirty with practical skills — that’s the heart of it. Reading and theory? Support acts. You’ll be certified when you’ve actually got the skills, not just when you’ve sat through a pile of content.
What’s Changing? We’re adding structured group supervision, a sprinkle of paired learning, and plenty of room for mutual reflection. Think: live practice, light readings, and meaningful conversations — all the good stuff without the overwhelm. And what’s more – there’ll still be plenty of experiential learning.

Long-Term Training Pathway
After two years of consistent training, most students should feel right at home using this work in one-on-one sessions with their own clients. By then, they’ll have honed a toolkit of core competencies, including:
- Mindfully attuning to both client and field
- Using solution-focused approaches without losing the bigger picture
- Crafting and testing systemic hypotheses
- Conducting mindful pre-representation interviews
- Reading the field like a seasoned guide
- Stepping into the past (metaphorically, not mystically) to understand family dynamics
- Designing healing sentences and rituals that actually resonate
- Balancing facts, systemic principles, and the flow of energy in a representation
- Managing mindful transitions within representations
- Holding steady when trauma walks into the room
- Knowing how — and when — to wrap up a representation
In a third year you will polish all of these skills to the point that you should feel comfortable running your own workshop with minimal supervision. You will also get support to organise your own workshops.
